Secular Equilibrium

Description: This is a water model of a radioactive decay chain. The flask at the top represents a supply of parent nuclei. Water drips from the flask into a tube and from there into another tube. Each tube has a different diameter (bottom) hole, representing different half lives. After the system has operated for a short time, (different) equilibrium levels will be observed.

Special Instructions: Open the stop cock slightly.
