Description: A 30 N weight is lifted with and without pulleys to
show the mechanical advantage of pulleys. First, the weight is lifted
with a spring scale. The reading is noted. The weight and scale are then
connected by a rope, which is over a pulley. The reading is again noted.
The weight is then hung from the pulley. The pulley-weight system is then
raised using the scale. The small pulley weighs 7 N.
