Magnetically Suspended Globe

Description: The base of a magnetically suspended globe is placed on a scale and the scale is zeroed. The globe is placed on the scale and the reading is noted. Then, the globe is carefully placed in the magnetic field such that it floats. The scale reading is noted again.

Special Instructions: It takes a little practice to get the globe to float.
