Terminal Velocity in Water and Glycerin

Description: One 20" tube is filled with water while the other is filled with glycerin. Each tube also contains a two inch ball. When the tubes are flipped over, the ball falls the length of each tube. The difference in terminal velocities is obvious.

Special Instructions: Flip the glycerin tube first, then the water tube a few seconds later.

Ideally For: Phys 1101, 1201, 1301, 1401
