Description: A pendulum swings between the poles of a large
electromagnet. A solid copper plate swings through the magnet freely
when the power is off. When the power is switched on, the plate stops.
The procedure is repeated with a slotted plate, a ring, and a slit ring.

Setup time: 2 minutes
Safety Issues: The magnet runs on 110 VDC. There are exposed
parts. Caution must be observed. Turn the magnet off when not in use and
unplug.
