Ferro-Optic Garnet

Description: This demo uses a commercial magnetic domain demonstrator. Polarized light is used to view the domains of the garnet, which rotates the plane of polarization of the light by an angle dependent on its magnetization.

Special Instructions: Slowly turn the knob to increase the magnetic field.
