Description: A cylindrical capacitor, connected to an electroscope, is
charged with a 1000 V battery. As the inner cylinder is pulled out from the
outer cylinder, the electroscope deflects, indicating an increase in potential
difference.
Special Instructions: Touch the battery electrodes to the two
cylinders.
Ideally For: Phys 1102, 1202, 1302, 1402
Condition: Good
Setup time: 3 minutes
Safety Issues: Don't short the battery
